Environmental Career Resources

There are a variety of resources available for students interested in careers in the environment. The library and career services center are good places to start. Following are some online environmental job boards that might also be helpful.

The internet has hundreds of pages devoted to the environment and careers. This is just a sampling of the many sites that address environmental careers. Including these sites is neither an endorsement or advertisement for the sponsoring organization or company.

EPA Environmental Careers Resource Guide
This guide provides fact sheets on careers and a link to the EPA's Human Resources Office. Also has links to other environmental career information.

Princeton University Outdoor Action Guide to Outdoor/Environmental Careers
The guide at this site originally acted as a workshop for students. It includes extensive information and more links on careers and summer jobs.

The Job Seeker
This includes current information on available job titles ranging from internships through senior executives in areas of biology, botany, conservation, ecology, environmental action/policy and education, fisheries, forestry, natural resources, outdoor recreation, parks, and soil/water conservation.

Job Net
This site, done by the Student Conservation Association gives students remarkable access to conservation career information that is so essential to the success of their careers.
